Mobile Home Repair Story
This is a brief explanation of how the damage to the mobile home occurred
Mobile Home Damage and Repair Pics
Over the years the screws that hold the siding on outside of the mobile home, would rust and work there way out. With the combination of 2" wide V shaped gutters, constantly daming up, overflowing down the wall. Causing water to get in and work its wonders. This can be prevented by using a wide head screw with a rubber washer. These screws are already used by commercial steel buildings, but for some reason just not used in the mobile home. Go figure. All of the screws in my home were replaced with wide head rubber washer screws. All windows were re sealed. 2" wide V shaped gutters must be cleaned regularly, water must not be allowed to damn up, the only way it has out is over the edge and down the wall. In conclusion, I have had to relace the wall studs, support beam on both sides, Large parts of the floor and the dry wall inside the kitchen. The cost is not cheap, but if it is all you have, you have to do it. The water damage can be reduced if it is caught early. Your going to pay one way or another. Good luck in all your repairs. Mine are near completion, but never done. Such is the life of a homeowner. If you have any questions, contact me thru my web page. I will be happy to answer them
